Puppy Classes
Looking for puppy classes that are:
Safe, welcoming, and well-organised?
-
Fun, relaxed, and full of helpful skills for both you and your pup?
-
Focused on your puppy’s growth—socially, mentally, and physically?
-
A place where questions are always welcome, and answers are backed by science and lots of love?
We want you and your puppy to have the best time learning together! Here’s how we make sure that happens:
-
Our classes are small, so you and your puppy get loads of one-on-one attention.
-
We keep things fresh and fun with a mix of training techniques and games that’ll keep both you and your pup engaged.
-
We carefully observe how each puppy interacts with others, and explain what’s going on to help you socialise your puppy and build their confidence.
-
Our training area is super spacious, so you won’t have to worry about your puppy getting distracted by the other pups in class.
-
Your trainer is qualified, friendly, and so passionate about helping you and your puppy succeed!

So what will you and your puppy be learning?
We’ve picked out the skills that are not only great for your puppy’s well-being, but are also high on every dog guardian’s wish list! Here’s a sneak peek at what you’ll work on:
-
Getting your pup to focus on you (yep, even when there are distractions!)
-
Walking nicely on a loose lead (no more pulling!)
-
Coming back to you when called (because recall is key!)
-
Basic commands like ‘sit’, ‘down’, and ‘stand’
-
‘Go to mat/bed/crate’ and settle down calmly
-
‘Stay’ and ‘wait’—so useful for real-life situations!
-
A relaxed response to handling (yes, even at the vet or groomers!)
-
Safety behaviors like ‘leave it’ and ‘drop it’—goodbye chewing on stuff you don’t want them to!
-
Playing nicely with people—no more nipping or biting!
-
Keeping their paws on the floor instead of jumping up on guests
-
Calm greetings with both people and other dogs (because jumping up isn’t cute to everyone!)

Frequently asked questions
When can my puppy start classes?
Your puppy needs to have completed their vaccinations.
If your puppy isn’t quite ready yet, no problem! We offer a New Puppy Home Visit (before or after bringing your puppy home) as part of our Practically Perfect puppy package. These are great for things like toilet training, separation training, and setting up your puppy’s routine and space.
Will this class be a good fit for MY puppy? Our puppy classes are for puppies up to 24 weeks old. If your pup is over 24 weeks old, they’re welcome to join our total beginners class (puppy classes for older dogs). Puppies hit their adolescence at around five to six months, and they start to get more confident (and a bit wilder!). We keep the younger pups in their own class to make sure they feel comfortable and aren’t overwhelmed by bigger, stronger dogs.
If you’ve got a smaller or shyer puppy who’s around 5-6 months old, just give Angella a shout, and we can chat about whether the Puppy Classes would be better for them.
How many puppies are in each class?
We keep it small—just five puppies per class. This means your puppy gets lots of individual attention and support from the trainer!
Who can come to class with my puppy?
To help everyone stay focused, we recommend bringing one or two people to class with your pup. Canine friends, however, will have to stay at home.
